Girona, October 2025 – GiDomus, the pioneering energy renovation programme, has officially opened its first offices in Gironès, Pla de l’Estany, Ripollès and Garrotxa. These service points allow citizens to obtain information, receive technical advice and manage procedures to start energy renovation projects in their homes.
Buildings account for 36% of CO₂ emissions, and their renovation is key to achieving climate goals. GiDomus aims to make this transition easy, accessible and comprehensive, with a free service that supports homeowners from the planning stage through to the implementation of the works.
“Opening these offices is a step forward in making the Girona region a more sustainable and efficient territory, helping families save money and creating opportunities for local professionals,” the promoting organisations highlighted.
Proximity services and offices
The physical service points now open are:
- Gironès (Girona city): Service point at the Girona Civic Centre. Opening hours: Tuesdays from 9:00 to 17:00.
- Pla de l’Estany (Banyoles): Service point at the County Council of Pla de l’Estany. Opening hours: Thursdays from 9:00 to 15:00.
- Ripollès (Ripoll): Two service points – Ripollès Development Agency (Tuesdays, 9:00–17:00) and Ripoll Town Hall (Wednesdays, 9:00–15:00).
- Garrotxa (Olot): Service point at the Europace Foundation (by appointment).
Citizens can also request home visits, adapting the service to each family’s needs. GiDomus provides technical, administrative and financial advice, assists in selecting local professionals and manages access to grants and affordable financing.

GiDomus generates local employment, stimulates the regional economy and helps combat energy poverty. At the same time, it promotes more sustainable, comfortable and efficient homes, connecting citizens, professionals and public administrations to maximise social, environmental and economic impact.
