GiDomus Brings Energy Efficiency Closer to the Public for the Fourth Consecutive Year at Olot's Fira de Sant Lluc

GiDomus has once again participated in the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Area at Olot's Fira de Sant Lluc, one of the most emblematic fairs in the city and the Garrotxa region. This fourth edition once again provided a space for advice, awareness-raising and participatory activities aimed at bringing energy efficiency and renewable energy closer to the public.

This year's participation was particularly meaningful for GiDomus, as Olot is the city where the Domus project, the origin of the current service, was first established. Returning every year helps maintain the connection with the people and the local community that have supported the project since its beginnings.

Although weather forecasts forced organisers to scale back the planned programme, the area hosted several activities throughout the morning.

      Energy Advice and Participatory Activities

GiDomus technicians provided advice and short information sessions on insulation, solar energy and energy efficiency at home. These 10- to 15-minute sessions offered practical tips and helped make this knowledge more accessible to attendees.

The Juga amb Energia (Play with Energy) activity area, once again organised in collaboration with Innova Didàctic and Robolot, allowed children and adults to discover how renewable energy works through models, experiments and interactive activities. The traditional LED Race was also held, demonstrating how movement can be converted into energy.

As a new feature of this edition, GiDomus shared its space with Nòmada Energètic, with whom it organised a quiz wheel featuring questions about energy, efficiency and sustainability. The activity combined learning and participation, with small gifts provided thanks to the collaboration of local companies and organisations.

GiDomus First Home, a New Service Initiative

During the information sessions, GiDomus First Home was also introduced. This new service initiative, which will be launched soon, is designed to support people looking to purchase and renovate their first home.

Making Energy Efficiency Accessible to Everyone

Participation in the Fira de Sant Lluc is part of GiDomus's ongoing efforts to raise awareness, inform the public and make energy efficiency understandable and accessible to everyone. Through engaging, practical and participatory activities, the project aims to spark interest in energy and facilitate access to useful knowledge for everyday life.

After four editions, the consolidation of this area within the Fira de Sant Lluc reinforces the continuity of these awareness-raising efforts across the region.

GiDomus would like to thank everyone who visited the area, Fundació Europace for its coordination, Innova Didàctic and Robolot for their collaboration in the recreational activities, Nòmada Energètic for its involvement, and the local companies and organisations that contributed gifts and prizes.
