On 4 November, Girona HUB will host the presentation of the new GiDomus pilot project, as part of the European LEG-UP project. The event will bring together representatives from the financial, real estate and renovation sectors, as well as public authorities, to explore new solutions that facilitate access to a first home and its energy renovation.
Accessing a first home is one of today's major challenges. When a property also requires energy renovation, the cost of the work can become an additional barrier. How can renovation financing be incorporated from the moment of purchase? What models can facilitate access to more energy-efficient and sustainable housing?
To address these questions, GiDomus is launching GiDomus First Home, a new pilot project designed to connect home purchases, financing and energy renovation. The initiative aims to explore solutions that make it easier to access a first home while integrating energy efficiency improvements from the very beginning.
The initiative will be presented on Wednesday, 4 November, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at Girona HUB, during an event combining the presentation of the pilot project, industry discussions and opportunities for collaboration among the stakeholders involved.
An Event to Explore New Financing Models
The event will begin with a welcome address by Jordi Ayats, Director of Fundació Europace, followed by a presentation of GiDomus First Home by Pau Águila, Project Manager at Fundació Europace, who will explain the context, how the pilot project works and the value it can bring to different stakeholders within the ecosystem.
The programme will also include a presentation of Onesto, introducing solutions that connect financing and renovation, as well as a demonstration of its platform.
One of the highlights of the event will be the roundtable discussion "How Can Residential Energy Renovation Be Financed? Towards New Models for Mobilising Private Capital", which will bring together financial institutions, public authorities and other key stakeholders to discuss existing barriers and explore new financing approaches that can help accelerate residential energy renovation.
Connections and Opportunities for Collaboration
Beyond the discussions, the event aims to foster connections between professionals involved in the different stages of accessing housing and carrying out renovation work.
To this end, a B2B matchmaking session featuring scheduled 15-minute meetings will be organised, tailored to participants' interests, to identify synergies, share needs and create new opportunities for collaboration. The event will also include open networking sessions and a lunch to encourage exchanges among attendees.
The event is aimed at financial institutions and lenders, real estate professionals and property agents (API), brokers and intermediaries, property managers, renovation professionals, technical teams, public authorities and organisations involved in housing and energy efficiency.
Take Part in the GiDomus First Home Presentation
The event offers an opportunity to learn first-hand about the new GiDomus pilot project, share perspectives and explore how collaboration between the financial, real estate and renovation sectors can help overcome barriers to accessing a first home and contribute to a more energy-efficient residential building stock.
