Rehabilitation Offices now have access to a new digital platform designed to support energy renovation processes for buildings. The free platform, developed as part of the European ReLIFE project, provides tools that facilitate decision-making, improve access to financing, and support the planning of energy renovation measures.
Among the project's partners is Ecoserveis, a member of the GiDomus consortium, which contributes to the development and validation of the platform. The platform is intended for financial institutions, public authorities, sector professionals, and citizens, with the aim of providing digital resources that help accelerate the energy renovation of the existing building stock.
A Platform with Tools Tailored to Different User Profiles
The platform currently includes three main tools, each designed to meet the needs of a specific user group:
- Portfolio Renovation Advisor, which enables financial institutions and large building owners to analyse different renovation scenarios and assess their potential impact.
- Renovation Strategy Explorer, currently under development, which will help policymakers and researchers compare different renovation strategies across the building stock.
- Home Renovation Assistant, a tool designed to help homeowners and tenants explore the most suitable energy renovation options for their homes.
For Rehabilitation Offices, these resources can serve as a valuable complement to their advisory and support activities, providing useful information to help guide decisions on renovation measures and possible renovation scenarios.
A Platform Under Validation
The project's first results and the platform's functionalities were presented during the webinar "Tools and Financing for Energy Renovation", held on 23 June. During the session, participants learned about the conclusions of the market analysis and the financing models examined across several European countries, as well as the main barriers identified in building energy renovation and a range of innovative solutions to overcome them. The event also included a live demonstration of the available tools and an interactive session where attendees were invited to provide feedback to further improve the platform.
From GiDomus, we encourage Rehabilitation Offices and all other stakeholders involved in the sector to explore this initiative and take part in its validation phase. Their experience will help consolidate a practical digital tool that supports a more efficient, accessible, and decarbonisation-oriented approach to energy renovation.
