      GiDomus is presented to the Gironès Mayor's Council with a warm institutional reception


      On 18thDecember last, the GiDomus program was presented during the meeting of the Gironès Mayor's Council, held at the headquarters of the Gironès County Council, where the project has its own office.

      The session allowed for an explanation of the program’s deployment in the region and the actions already underway. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of the municipal informational sessions, aimed at bringing information to citizens and facilitating accessto available resources for home rehabilitation and energy improvement.

      During the meeting, the need to reach homeowners’ associations was also highlighted, as they are one of the key audiences forpromoting collective projects, as well as strengthening the participation of local professionals related to the sector.

      The mayors thatattended the session gave positive feedback on the initiative andexpressed their support, offering collaboration in municipal dissemination and
      neighborhood awareness activities. The Council agreed on the relevanceof providing clear and accessible information to encourage more families and communities to consider rehabilitation actions.

      The presentation was led by Manel Pretel-Wilson,the coordinator of the GiDomus project, who outlined the program’sobjectives and the services already available to municipalities and residents in the region.

      A collective project with a solid foundation, GiDomus is an initiative driven by a consortium of specialized entities, formed by:

      - EuropaceFoundation
      - Clúster del’Energia Eficient de Catalunya (CEEC)
      - IREC (Catalonia Energy Research Institute)
      - R2M Solution
      - Social Innovation for Communities (UpSocial)
      - Ecrowd!
      - Ecoserveis – Energy Culture

      This group of organizations provide technical and scientificknowledge, social innovation capacity, financial support, and established experience in the energy transition. The combination of expertise gives the project a strong foundation and promotes the possibility of replicating the model in other regions.

      With the presentation at the Mayor’s Council, GiDomus continues to advance its rollout in the catalan territory known as Gironès, aiming toestablish itself as a regional reference point for home rehabilitation and energy improvement.
