Miquel Noguer, President of the Girona Provincial Council and Mayor of Banyoles, has shared his views on the role of GiDomus in making energy renovation more accessible, understandable and closer to citizens.
According to Noguer, "GiDomus is all about supporting citizens through trust and proximity to improve the energy efficiency and quality of life of their homes, especially older buildings."
Projects such as LIFE-GiDomus aim to make the renovation process easier to understand and more accessible by providing technical, administrative and financial support to individuals and homeowners' communities wishing to renovate their homes for greater energy efficiency.
Miquel Noguer also highlighted the importance of public-private collaboration, noting that it helps to "bring together knowledge, resources and trust so that more people are encouraged to take the step". In this regard, he stressed that "it is essential to make these initiatives possible and to give people confidence in how they can improve the energy efficiency and comfort of their homes."
Regarding one-stop shops, he described them as a local point of reference where citizens can resolve doubts and receive guidance throughout the renovation process. "Having a one-stop shop with a trusted advisor providing technical, industrial and financial guidance is essential," he emphasised.
